If you have ever preferred a cover version at the original, it is likely that it was done by Boys Avenue. The brothers Alejandro, Daniel and the Fabian Manzano bands will be in India later this week and although they made a name for themselves with their singing of popular numbers, trio has three original albums and solos which are also for their credit.

Speaking on the phone, before setting on your tour, the stimulation of Daniel is clear. “We have been visiting for almost 20 years and this will be our third visit to India. We like to come there.”

Boys Avenue, courtesy of India, took his name from two roads, who lived in the form of brothers and children.

Daniel says that his “original story is quite simple, because we are brothers”. At the same time, he believes that his forest in music was rather “atrocities in a sense”.

“We started in late music, because we were all interested in sports. Alejandro, our chief singer and youngest brother, did not start playing music or picked up a guitar until he was 13 years old. I was 19 years old, so he was a late start. But, Alejandro was very emotional and intense about it, in about two years, he was an extraordinary guitarist about it, he was an extraordinary gathering.”

Daniel says that in the next few years, he worked on the cover, “Sometimes writing a original and playing in small pubs and college towns, whatever we could do”.

“It was not until the MySpace came and we started posting our music online, that we realized that it would have widespread access.

“Our first video watched more than 100,000 times and soon we were out of the park with every post. We never looked back.”

While the Daniel is a percussionist and plays Fabian and Alejandro guitar, the three gave their voice to the song. And they do the same when it composes the songs and creates music.

“We all write our music and songs, although Alejandro is the most vigorous – it is easy for him. We also have a lot of songs where we have cooperated. I will sing music and chorus, Alejandro Shloka and Fabian.

“We have our own views, as far as we can, develop them, and then bring everything to the band. This is a process that works for us.”

Asked about the possibility of another album from Boys Avenue (his last – Road less travel – Was released in 2016), Daniel says, “I believe that for the whole world, the album is a bit on its way and it is a sad reality for me, because I have grown up listening to albums and still love them. But, we understand that it is more than a single climate, and the fans can expect at the beginning of a few years or the next year.”

Talking about his visit to India, Daniel says that his tight program barely gives a chance to travel to sightseeing or cooperate with local artists, so they do with “local cuisine and local culture”.

In the corner era with World Jazz Day and seeing that his tone of music is Gathagit-like, with a clean, quiet sound, which will be well mixed with that style, Daniel says, “It’s not something we hear, so we don’t naturally move towards it. However, I am definitely starting to buy a record of slipping.”
