An emergency meeting of the Monitoring Committee led by Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) will be held here on Monday (April 21, 2025) to handle complaints related to women’s workplace harassment in the Malayalam film industry, raised against an actor Vinci against an actor Vinci.

KFCC General Secretary Saji Nanthiatu said on Friday that the emergency meeting of the 29-member monitoring committee will be held on April 21 at 3 pm to discuss the complaint lodged by the actor.
The committee, she said, on the basis of the recommendation of the Kerala State Women’s Commission, the Kerala High Court directed to form an internal grievance committee as per the sexual harassment of women on the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Prevention) Act, 2013 (posh Act) after the Kerala High Court directed the film construction houses. The court issued a directive on the basis of a petition filed by women in the cinema collective.
The committee consisted of 27 members representing various film bodies and two members of the Kerala State Women’s Commission. Shri Nathiatu said that strict action will be taken against complaints of misuse and harassment of drugs at film places.
Amma started investigation
A three-member committee appointed by the ad hoc committee of Amma sent a notice to Mr. Chacko to investigate the complaint lodged by the actor, seeking his response to the allegations. Although Ms. Elosian is not a member of the body of actors, she was asked by the film bodies to file a complaint that Mr. Chacko is its member. The ad hoc committee has not learned the time limit to submit its report for a three-member committee.
