In a hurry Veera Chandrasa, It is natural to feel that you are watching the performance overnight Yakshagana, Ancient coastal art forms. Some scenes play for so long, perhaps for 15 minutes or more, they think they are out of a platform game directly. In that sense, the film is an honest Ode for Yakshagana.
Famous for music composer Ravi Basur, Sect And Brother-in-law, I have donated a director’s cap Veera Chandrahasa. Basur describes the story of Chandrahasa – the popular story of an orphan that becomes the king of the Kuntala Empire in Hindu mythology – as a Yakshagan performance.

For some time, the experimental tech seems to be immersive. However, the innovation does not last long. Veera Chandrasa The essential cinematic elements are deficient in their runtime (20 minutes shy). The film, which benefits from its spark of humor, could have been a character study of the central character Chandrasa. The direct statement of an old story and the underdeveloped treatment of the script makes the film a dated.
Basur’s no-coarsed music swings between vibrant and ear-division. Sound Mixing, while justice to the theme of the film, keeps the spirit of Yakshagana alive. Finely performs justice to the rhythm of a Yakshagana show, with Prasanna Shetterigar, the game of the Pratipshye Summer, as a standout. Shivrajkumar uses his vast experience to bring a royal touch to his cameo.
The climax of the film reminds you of Kantara (2022), Basur Rishab goes to the effect of the same intestine of the final parts of Shetty’s film and almost draws it. But the monotonic buildup for the final act means that you are as much as you were watching Kantara.

Basur plays for his strength, but the film may benefit from taking some risks. Shoddy proves VFX and dull action sequences that the film required a large canvas.
What if a modern day struggle was reflected with Yakshagana as a tool? Perhaps Basur and his team can detect this concept for future efforts.
