If you have not heard the discussion around Kim Suu Hyun, then you should stay under a rock and controversy to connect her to the late actress Kim Sai Ron. When Kim Suu Hyun’s agency, the gold medalist filed a 12 billion KRW defamation suit against Kim Sai Ron’s family and the notorious YouTube channel Garosero, things were messed up. FYI: The family and the actress’s family claimed that Kim Suu Hyun dated the late actress when she was a minor.
Till now, the Internet was echoing with rumors that Kim Suu Hyun’s legal team missed a significant time limit to pay the court fees and requested an expansion about financial problems. But now, the actor’s team has cleared the wind.
In a statement through the YTN Star, Kim Suu Hyun’s legal firm, LKB and partners denied all missed-payments rumors. He said, “We paid all the necessary court charges and distribution fees. It is not true that we failed to pay the fees of the lawsuit,” Indian express,
Explaining the reason behind the deadline extension, he said, “The request to expand the deadline of the reform was made to fix the defendant’s address, not due to unpaid fee.”
Just to revolve a little bit – when Kim Sai Ron’s family accused Kim Suu Hyun of dating her while she was at a young age, his agency (gold medalist) responded with a case with a demand to 12 billion KRW with a case.
When the court documents revealed a mismatch in the claim of damage, the situation increased – while the legal suit was filed for 12 billion KRWs, only 11 billion was officially registered. This discrepancy meant that the court fees do not match. The legal team was asked to fix the paperwork and pay the remaining fee, which came to about 38 million KRW.
Adding to the discussion, he presented an extension request on a very last day – 16 April – which only intensifies online speculation about the agency facing financial stress.
On 16 February, Kim Sai Ron was found dead at his residence in Seoul. According to Seongdong police, he died of suicide.
