The Internet defended Kamal Haasan on the joke of his ‘banana’ on Trisha Krishnan: “Nothing means” nothing “

New Delhi:

Kamal Haasan and Trisha Krishnan are busy promoting the thugs of Mani Ratnam. In one of the campaigner events, Kamal Haasan made a joke on Trisha (taking a Q from her words), which divided the Internet. While a part of the Internet slammed Kamal Haasan, his fans came out in his defense, asked why “Bhoj” is not taken in the right spirit.

In this program, Trisha was asked about her favorite dish. “I like to eat all of them, but I like boiled banana more. What is it called?” She was referring to a dish, called Pajam Pori, a type of banana fritters.

Kamal Haasan reminded her the name and said, “She does not know the name, but likes to put her in her mouth.” Trisha burst into laughter. Kamal Haasan also patted his knee, suggesting that the comment was made in the gest. The video is already viral on X (East Twitter).

The video attracted various reactions. “All senses I think the worst has gone into the air !! The worst,” a user wrote. Another user wrote, “Why do you always take double meaning?”

A large number of fans supported Kamal Haasan and said that he had played only with words.

A user wrote, “This is a very Jovial dialogue that is usually used by mothers and dads in most Tamil homes. There is nothing disgusting in it.”

Another user wrote, “Here nothing means …. Trisha forgets the name of the food she likes … Kamal replied that she eats but does not know the name of the food.”

“There is nothing wrong here Da Meru. It is so pathetic that you are so used to see your perverted heroes that you think everyone is so,” written another.

“I am Tamil and I am not a lotus fan. But I do not think it means that you are thinking in the sense that everyone finds out that it is aggressive only after reading the comments. We all tease their friends if they do not know anything,” reads another comment.

Mani Ratnam’s thugs life stars Kamal, Silambaron, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lectmi, Jujo George, Abhirami, Nasar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Sarf and Vayapuri. It will be released in theaters on 5 June. The film units Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after nearly four decades of Nayakan (1987).
