Pahgam terror attack: Anupam Kher expressed grief over the devastating incident – clock

Mumbai: After the recent terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, actor Anupam Kher has voiced his strong condemnation, expressing deep grief and intense anger over the cruel massacre.

The attack on Tuesday left several tourists who came to Kashmir to enjoy their holidays with their families. Taking his official X handle, Kher shared a hearty video condemning the tragedy.

In the video, he said, “Today, the massacre that happened to Hindus in Pahgam …. Hindus have been killed one after the other. I feel unhappy, but there is no limit to my anger and anger. There is no limit to my anger and anger.”

Kher, who has been a vocal lawyer for the rights of the Kashmiri Hindus, reflected the long -standing struggles of the community in Kashmir, saying that the attack was reminiscent of the painful history faced by Kashmiri Pandits.

He recalled the events depicted in the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, and said that it is a task that some had only dismissed as publicity, but a small, a small part of the big, untold story of the painful past of the Kashmir Valley.

He said, “They are choosing them, deciding their religion, and killing them. There are no words. Sometimes, words are incomplete and meaningless. Because what you are feeling is too much.”

Kher also expressed his crisis on a woman’s image, mourning the death of her husband, who was shot during the massacre.

The actor then called Indian leadership, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah to take decisive action against those responsible.

He demanded that terrorists be taught a lesson so seriously that they would be unable to carry out such heinous acts for “coming generations”. He said, “I would like to request the Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Narendra Modi, Shri Amit Shah and the entire government to teach these terrorists a lesson that they would not be able to do such a thing for the next seven lives,” he said in the video.

Kher concluded his video saying, “This is wrong. It’s wrong. It’s wrong … in any part of the world. But in our country, in Pahgam, in Pahgam, the massacre that happened today is very wrong.”

He read with a caption with his post, which wrote, “Wrong … wrong … wrong !!! Pahgam massacre !! The words are impotent today !!”

The tragic incident has expressed displeasure all over India, in which many public figures condemn the attack.

Actor Sonu Sood also took his X handle to express his grief, “strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in #Pahalgam in Kashmir. Terrorism should not have any place in a civilized world and this unqualified task is unacceptable. My deepest condolences are for those families.

Actor Sunny Deol shared his feelings on Instagram, called for ending terrorism. “At this time the world should only think about ending terrorism because only innocent people are victims of it, humans need to look inside themselves. I stand with the families of the victims at this time of this grief,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to India in early Wednesday, reduced his state trip to Saudi Arabia after the attack.

PM Modi was initially scheduled to return to later week, but decided to shorten his journey after receiving the attack report.

Upon coming to New Delhi, he held a high-level briefing at Palam Airport with senior officials including Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Dowal.

In a statement condemning the attack, the Prime Minister swear that criminals would be brought to justice.

“I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Consideration towards those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured should be cured as soon as possible. All possible assistance is being provided to those people. Behind this heinous act, their bad agenda will not be harassed.” Said.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman, who was on an official visit to the US and Peru, also decided to reduce his journey in response to the tragedy.

This attack is considered one of the most important acts of terrorism in Kashmir since the cancellation of Article 370 in 2019, this attack has inspired strong reactions from political figures in the spectrum.

The Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched an intensive search operation in Pahalgam region to locate and capture those responsible for the attack.

In view of the tragedy, there have been extensive protests across India. Candlelight march was held in several cities and towns, including Baramulla, Srinagar, Poonch and Kupwara, as the locals gathered to mourn the victims and express solidarity with the affected families. In Jammu, members of the Bajrang Dal protested, demanding justice for the victims.

Additionally, the residents of Khod village in Akhad organized their candlelight march, and extended national outrage against the attack.

The government has not yet confirmed the number of casualties in the incident.
