Favad Khan condemned the Puhalgam attack to boycott his upcoming Bollywood film ‘Abir Gulal’.

Actor Fawad Khan took to Instagram to condemn the terrorist attack in Pahgam, killing 26 people and injured several. In an Instagram story, the actor wrote, “Hearing the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam, he was deeply saddened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of his frightening incident, and we pray for strength and treatment for their families in this difficult time.”

His statement came a day after the incident, which has called for boycott of his upcoming Hindi film. Abir Gulal, Aarti s. Directed by Bagdi. The film slate for release on 9 May is a romantic comedy set in London. It was ready for Khan’s return to Bollywood after nine years, as Pakistani artists have been informally absent from Indian films since the 2016 URI terror attack. After the terrorist attack in Pahgam on Tuesday (April 22, 2025), call to ban Abir Gulal The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) have reiterated their instructions, calling for a complete non-co-worker with all Pakistani artists, singers and technicians within the Indian film and entertainment industry.

“In the light of the recent attack in Pahgam, FWIC once again forced all Pakistani artists, singers and technicians to release a blanket boycott on singers and technicians participating in any Indian film or entertainment projects. It involves the performance or collaboration that anywhere in the world,” FWIC said.

“We want to emphasize that any member of our organization or it will be subject to disciplinary action, such as any member of our organization, such as actors, directors, other technicians and manufacturer or producer or production homes.
