Organized with the intention of promoting innovation, story and industry growth in film, series, gaming and digital content, the waves are one of the biggest global creative industry celebrations.

The summit, running from 1 to 4 May, is being hosted in prestigious places including Neeta Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC), and is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants from more than 90 countries, including 1,000 content including creators, 350 startups and 300 media.

Connecting at The Grandure, the inauguration ceremony at NMACC Grand Theater showed live performance by the 50-Tukra orchestra under the leadership of Academy Award winning composer MM Kerwani, which was established for the celebration of four-day immersive dialogue and creativity.

Indian entertainment industry superstars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone, also arrived to participate in various panel discussions, showcases and networking events.

Speaking to ANI, he said, “I pay homage to the families of the victims of the initiative terror attack. Everyone is suffering from it.”

When asked about the digital crackdown on the Instagram account of Pakistani artists in India, Shroff replied, “We do not want to interfere in the government’s policy and create controversy.”

Instagram users in India have been unable to reach the accounts of major Pakistani actors like Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir and Ali Zafar.

The message on his profile cites compliance with legal instructions as the cause of restrictions.

This action in view of India’s widespread move to allegedly disseminate 16 Pakistani YouTube channels and disseminate anti-India stories, especially after the Pahalgam tragedy.

Government officials confirmed that the Ministry of Home Affairs recommended the ban in response to the misinformation and intuition of inflammatory content that targeted India’s security forces.

Stressful cultural relations between India and Pakistan have been persisted since 2016, after a deadly terrorist attack on an Indian Army base in Uri.

Pakistani artists have not worked in Indian films since then, and Fawad Khan’s latest film ‘Abir Gulal’, which is co-integrated by Wani Kapoor, was not particularly released in India this month.
