Film, music and fashion stars conveyed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, United States for Met Gala on Tuesday (May 6), dubbed as the ‘biggest night out of fashion’. The event, scheduled to raise funds for the costume institute, attracted the attention of audiences around the world, but this year’s version was particularly special for India as some of its biggest stars performed surprising on the blue carpet.
The event was undoubtedly related to Bollywood’s ‘Badshah’ superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who made a great start to become the first Indian male actor to participate in the Mate. One of the largest living icons of Indian cinema, Khan dazzled on the mate carpet in a sublime black suit with gold items, a running sugarcane, a brooch and a long pendant – which affects the letter of the K -letter for Raja Khan. Khan’s organization was prepared by the Ace Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who also joined the Khan on the blue carpet.

Meanwhile, Met Gala Adianka Chopra Jonas turned the head with a sewn polka dot dress on the blue carpet, which was a Bispok manufacture by Balmen’s Olivier Routing. While chanting her grand attire, high jewelery from BVLGARI was dazzling, which is a luxury Italian house, for which Chopra serves as a global ambassador. Star along with her husband and singer Nick Jonas recorded her fifth presence in the Mate.

Bollywood fans who were clinging to the live stream of the event, also saw Indian actor Kiara Advani making his debut in Met Gala. Kiara, a skilled female star was currently expecting her first child, shining on the Met carpet in a stunning black-swept dress. In a tender festival of maternity, her black gown with gold ornamentation and a long white mark bore a heart -shaped mini plate for the child.

The costumes were also an indication for the evening dress code, “touched for you”, which meant that the guests were bringing a part of their own cultural nature in their dress. The subject of Met Gala has been selected according to the theme of the latest exhibition of Costume Institute. And this year, the theme was “Superfine: Tayloring Black Style”, which Monica L. Miller’s book ‘Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and The Style of Black Diasporic Identity’ were inspired.
Met Gala Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume is an annual funding case for the institute. Started by American fashion preacher Eleinor Lambert in 1948, the program has increased in reputation and scale over the years.
