Ritish Deshmukh announced the Pan-India film Raja Shivaji, which is set for the release of Maharashtra Day 2026

Ritish Deshmukh has officially announced the release date of his much awaited film “Raja Shivaji” based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Stayed by Ritish Deshmukh, who also makes an essay of Titular Role, the historic action drama includes Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khadekar, Bhagishree, Pardin Khan Jitendra Joshi, Amol Gossette, and Genelia Deshmukh. “King Shivaji,” comes against the backdrop of a PAN-India film, a turbulent era marked by warrior kingdoms and growing rebellions.

The film traces a young Shivaji’s inspirational Udaya, who challenged the powerful forces, provoked a revolution, and emerged as a prestigious king Shivaji – made way for Swarajya. The film is currently being shot at various places in Mumbai and Y, Maharashtra.

Supported by Jio Studios, “Raja Shivaji” is being produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh under the banner of Mumbai Film Company. The film is scheduled for release worldwide on May 1, 2026.
