It is called Palm Dog Competition, but on Friday was the winner of the annual Cannes Film Festival tradition.

Finally Grand Jury Award was given to Mystic Spanish Odyssey SirâtFor Jack Russell Terrier Pipa and Lupita, a Podenco Cross. The story follows a father, who searches her daughter in the desert, as well as her son – and Pipa and Lupita.

Lead actor Z was individually to collect prizes with Jade Okid director Oliver Lux. He told The gathering audience that Lupita was his own dog, who was unhappy soon after filming. After the show, Rose said that Lupita would be immortalized with this award: “We were so happy that we could celebrate a small life.”
Palm Dog has seen many famous guests personally to take his awards. Quentin Tartino 2019 came to personally to collect the award when Brandi the Pitt Bull In Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood won. And, in 2021, Tilda Swinton attended the ceremony to receive the award, when her three dogs, Rose, Dora and Snowobier won the award for their roles in Jona Hog.
