Anurag Kashyap called Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos back claps, dumb on the comment of holy games

New Delhi: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has fired back at Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos following a recent comments about the sacred Games. During an appearance on Nikhil Kamath’s WTF Podcast, Sarandos spoke about the development of Netflix India, which mentions popular titles such as Sacred Games, Hiramandi, CID and Kapil Sharma Show.

In Podcast, Sarandos doubted the decision to launch Netflix India’s original programming with a holy game. He suggested that, in obstruction, some more “populous” could be a better starting point.

“Our first Indian original show was a sacred game, and I thought,” It is going to be very good. People in India love films. Following Sarandos’s comments, Kashyap replied rapidly, calling the CEO of Netflix “dumb”.

Sharing his feedback on threads, Kashyap wrote:

Sacred Games was the first original series of Netflix India, directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwen. The show, which starred Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, gained large -scale popularity for their gritty story and cinematic scale.

However, the second season received mixed reviews, and the show was not eventually renewed for a third.
