Mumbai: Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have extended their support to Diljit Dosanj’s upcoming thriller “Detective Sherdil”. The Star couple recently resorted to social media to make the film happy.
Taking her Instagram stories, Katrina shared the trailer of the film and wrote, “Looks very fun … magnificent team @diljitdosanjh.” Vicky also posted the trailer on his Instagram stories, which wrote, “Mazedar trailer! Best Vishs Team #Detectivesherdil.”
On 9 June, the makers released the trailer of the film on social media, introducing detective Sherdil as an unconventional and surprising investigator, with a habit of cracking the most baffling cases.
Together with Natasha, a composition and intelligent detective, the pair delayed a complex labyrinth of hidden family secrets, betrayal and high-day financial objectives.
Directed by Ravi Chhabaria, Diljit’s character characterized by a brilliant detective center on the shocking death of a fiery billionaire tycoon at Budapest. While the case initially seems to be a hate crime, it soon joins a more complex and frightening conspiracy.
The film also stars Diana Paint, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, Chunky Pandey, Sumit Vyas, Banita Sandhu and Kashmiri Irani. Speaking of his role, Diljit shared earlier, “Playing detective Sherdil has been fun for me. Character Quirks and this attitude is something that I have tried differently. Hopefully the audience enjoys this character and film.”
Boman Irani, who plays the role of business tycoon Pankaj Bhatti, shared that his character leaves a strong impact, maintaining a powerful appearance even when off-screen is off-screen. “They have created an empire, but it is their internal turmoil and unspecified regrets that make them really compelling. Detective Sherdil is an entertaining story about control, strength and secrets – and this complexity attracts me to it,”
Boman mentioned. Diana Penty also reflected on playing the role of Natasha and described it as one of her most inherent and realistic roles. She shared that Natasha is intelligent and thrives on logic, structure and accuracy, making her a place in the unexpected chaos of the case. “Detective Sherdil” will be released on 20 June on ZEE5.
