The music scene in Hyderabad has welcomed a fresh entrance: Snigda Live. Launched on 4 June, the band is launched by independent composer Snigra Sharma, who was the singer of East East. The lineup includes Salim Shayak on Bass, Saithwik on Guitar, Harry Paulson on Keys and Samuel Sanjeev on Drum. His first film was an indifferent ride through the Telugu and Hindi cover, interviewed with a gruvie mash-up and a specific female-lone sound.
Snowga’s sister Harika Shivram, a singer also performed at the event. Launched Gigg double as a premiere of Snigda’s first original composition, ‘Winwe Winve’ – a funny, introspection to poisonous positivity. “This is about being highly optimistic, believing can change someone,” she explains. “I wrote it myself like a reminder – and for women – not to play ‘Bob the Builder’ in relationships.” (A node for an animated series is characterized by a sometimes a fixer.)
For someone who once believed that the lirik-writing was beyond him, Snigda has given three original songs-most of the work or curing the playlist. “Some recent experiences pushed me into that creative place,” she shares. “I hide my pain behind a smile, but the songs speak for myself.”
Indifference as inspiration

For four years, this promising voice in Hyderabad’s Indie music scene has taken inspiration from indifference. “Our settlements are unique,” says Snigdha. “Most bands cling to clear hits from film albums-we also perform those, but we also bring less remembered gems that are worth noting.”

It was his mother, Lalita Kumari, who for the first time recognized Sniga’s talent in Vijianagaram in Andhra Pradesh. A diploma holder in Karnataka Music, Snigdha moved to Hyderabad to sing with MM Keravani’s team in 2021. Later he lent his voice to sing for composer Thaman (‘Suguna Beautiful’ Veerasimha Reddy, Brother) And Vivek Sagar (Swag), before being recognized as the prominent singer of the band shelter.
“The energy to perform with a band is something I really miss,” she reflects. And so, Snigdha Live was born.
