Air India plane crash news: During the takeoff on Thursday, the London-bound Air India flight crashed near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. Reports show that there were 242 passengers on the board, including 169 Indian citizens, 53 British citizens, a Canadian national and seven Portuguese citizens.
Many Bollywood actors, including Ritish Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Sunny Deol and Parineeti Chopra, have expressed grief and shock to the tragic incident and have increased their summarization towards the families of the passengers.

Akshay Kumar prayed to the affected families, saying, “Surprised and speechless in the Air India accident. At this time only prayers.”
Taking it on Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor expressed her mistrust: “It is impossible to put the weight of such tragedies into words. Waiting for the passengers, crew and every family tonight for the passengers, crew and every family.”
Sunny Deol wrote, “The news of the plane crash in Ahmedabad was destroyed. Praying with my whole heart for the remaining people – can they be found and need them. Those who rest peacefully, and their families can get strength in this unconcerned time.”

Calling the incident “disastrous”, Alia Bhatt shared, “My heart hurts for all travelers and crew. Thoughts and prayer with everyone with the board and their loved ones.”
Expressing his concern, Ritish Deshmukh said, “Hearing about the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad is completely heartbroken and in shock. My heart affects all the passengers, their families and everyone on the ground. I was holding them all in my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”
Pan-India star Allu Arjun also joined as support, writing, “Heartbroken by tragic Ahmedabad Air India Flight Crash. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Their soul can relax in peace. In fact the heart.”

Ahmedabad aircraft accident: what do we know so far
According to the Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft left from Ahmedabad on the runway 23 to 13:39 IST (08:09 UTC). The pilot allegedly released a call to the ATC moments before the accident. Just out of the airport circumference, the plane crashed immediately after the takeoff.
The scene of the Meghani region captured the thick black smoke bill in the sky. The flight was scheduled to move from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Gatvic Airport in London in Ahmedabad at 1:10 pm. It was being operated by Captain Sumate Sabarwal and the first officer Clive Kundar.
