Brian Wilson, mythological singer, lyricist, and producer, who helped redefine American pop music as the co-founder of The Beach Boys, died at the age of 82. His death was confirmed on Wednesday, indicating a wave of tribute to fellow musicians and artists who placed him as one of the most important figures in modern music.

Born in 1942 in Engelwood, California, Wilson’s early music development was shaped by his father, who encouraged him to play instruments from an early age. By his teenagers, Wilson was a skilled pianoist and formed the middle boys in 1961 with his brothers Dennis and Carl, cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardin. His voice came to define the California surf music era and earned him 36 entries in Billboard Top 40 in about four decades – an unmatched record for an American group.

Despite the commercial success, Wilson struggled with mental health issues. With schizoaffective disorder, he faced the years of hearing hallucinations and addiction. His status led an extended period under the care of the controversial physician Eugene Landy, which was eventually removed from Wilson’s life after legal action.
Wilson’s Creative High included 1966 album Looks petOne of the most influential albums of all time is considered. However his employed follow -up, SmileWas given shelter in 1967, Wilson later revived the project as a single release. He continued to make music in his later years, released his last album, No ghat pressureIn 2015.
His death attracted an immediate response from the artists of generations.
Bob Dylan wrote, “Today listened to sad news about Brian and thought of all the years that I am listening to him and praising his talent.” “Rest in Peace Dear Brian.”
Considering his lifetime bondage, the middle boys bandmate Al Jardin said, “I will always feel blessed that you were in our life as long as you were … I think the most comfortable idea is right now that you have joined with Carl and Dennis again.”
Carol King called Wilson “My Brother in Song Writing”, and James Hetfield of Metalica praised Wilson God only Knows As one of the best songs ever.
Actor John Cussack, who portrays Wilson in the biopic Love and kindnessHe was “an open heart with two legs … described with an ear that listens to angels.” Sean Ono Lennon called Wilson “our American Mozart”.
Wilson has survived Merlin Lavel from his first marriage by his daughters Carney and Wendy, and adopted daughters Daria and Delani from their second marriage.
