Mumbai: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome received in the Sri Lankan Parliament. He said that he is deeply grateful to Sri Lanka Harini Amarsuria’s Prime Minister and other leaders for a meaningful conversation, who made the journey “really unforgettable” for him.
Mohanlal took on Instagram, where he shared two images of his own in the Sri Lankan Parliament, where he met Sri Lanka Harini Amarsuria’s Prime Minister Jagath Vikramaratne, Deputy Speaker Rizvi Salih and his friend. He wrote as a caption: “Sri Lanka’s Parliament was honored with a serious reception. It was a true privilege to meet Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarsuria, Chairman Dr. Jagat Vikramratne, Deputy Speaker Dr. Rizvi Salih, and my dear friend Ishant Ratneyke.”
He said: “I am deeply grateful to the warm, generosity and meaningful conversations, which made this journey to Sri Lanka really unforgettable. @Shantha.” Talking about the 64 -year -old superstar, Mohanlal has a career of over four decades, during which he has acted in more than 400 films. He was brought in 2001 for his contribution to Indian cinema along with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
In 2009, he became the first actor in India to be awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army. The actor was recently seen in “Thudram”. Directed by Thruun Murthy, “Thudram” is a crime thriller film. It also stars Shrobana, Prakash Verma, Farhan Fasil, Manianpila Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Arsha Chandni Bayaju, Thomas Matthew, Krishna Praba and Arvind.
He will next be seen in a family drama “Hridaypurvam” directed by Satyan Anthikad from a screenplay of Sonu TP, based on a story of Akhil Satyan, son of Anthikad. It also stars Malavika Mohanan, Sargeath Pratap, Sangita Madhavan Nair, Siddiq, Sabita Anand, Baburaj, Nishan, Lalu Alex, Janardanan and SP Charan. Hridaypurvam is to be dramatically released on 28 August. Mohanlal also has an epic action drama “Vrishabha” along with Roshan Meka, Shehna Kapoor, Poison S Khan, Srikanth Mection and Ragini Dwivedi.
