Randhawa faced a backlash from fans of Diljit Dosanjh in his secret positions, who was seen as a subtle Digs in the singer-actor, indirectly referred to the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the upcoming film.

Taking the comment section, fans of Diljit Dosanj slammed Guru Randhawa for his esoteric comments, accusing him of throwing a shadow on Hania Aamir’s casting. A Neitizen commented, “Get Guru Grive.” Another wrote, “It seems that you are the one who is in dire need to start a dispute for your PR Cuse a few months ago, you were promoting your film Shahkot about Pakistan.” Another said, “It is all directly jealous.” One of the users wrote, “Try to sing a song without mentioning Lahore first.”
However, many users also came out in support of the Guru. Randhawa tweeted earlier, “When the PR team is more talented than talent, the disputes become part of the daily routine. The day is near when our people open their eyes and know the truth. 1 of every month, except 1, bombs. God blesses fake PR and artists.”
Amid the rising backlash, the manufacturers of ‘Sardar Ji 3’ released an official statement on 25 June, which made it clear that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was inserted before the terrorist attack in Pahgam. He also emphasized that the shooting of the film was completed before the recent increase in tension between India and Pakistan.
The statement said, “It is to bring everyone’s notice whether the film named ‘Sardar G3’ was shot well before the prevailing situation that our country is still facing and it was never a case whether any Pakistani artist was signed or was engaged after the terrorist attack in Pahgam (Sik).”
The statement also mentions that the decision to withdraw the film’s release in India was taken to light of sensitive circumstances. The trailer of the upcoming Punjabi film triggered the important backlash soon after its launch.
On June 27, ‘Sardar Ji 3’ is going to premiere internationally.
