Poonam Dhillon opens about life after divorce and navigates Bollywood as a single mother

Mumbai: Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon spoke about her visit as a divorced woman in the film industry.

In a clear conversation with ANI, the actress shared her views how life changed after her ex -husband, filmmaker Ashok Thareria.

Poonam Dhillon married Ashok in 1988 and later divorced him in 1997. Their two children are together, precious and palaoma, and the actress has always focused on increasing them.
Looking back, Poonam said that she was “afraid” how people can treat her after divorce, especially in an industry where personal matters often become public talk.

“In any industry, at any place, in any situation, how you treat is based on how you behave. So I was very frightened that I would get upset if my friends or their husbands started behaving me differently, or if men started seeing me, and if you know, you cure,” Dhil told the Enni.

“But touch the wood, I was really lucky and blessed that no one has changed his attitude or started making indecent proposals or provoking things. I mean, one or two scattered events can happen, but it has shown their character, not mine. Not mine. Not mine. And it is true in any profession.
