Mumbai: The newcomer Shanaya Kapoor is excited to make her acting debut with “Anakhon’s Gustkhyayan”, a moment that was delayed by three years, but she did not wait.
Actor Sanjay Kapoor and Mahip Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya was first set to start with producer Karan Johar’s “Badhadak”, a project that was declared in March 2022, but was later sheltered.
She is now marking her acting career with a musical romance with “Gustakhyayan”, in which she is added with Vikrant Masi.
“This is a real feeling, and it is heavy when you look at yourself on YouTube now. I’m watching myself and I am putting my music videos and I constantly watch how it looks, what the audience has been told, and it is a huge feeling.
“All this has come together, and I am happy how the journey has taken place. If it takes time, if it takes up its ups and downs … then I think it was all for me to be here today,” Shanaya, daughter told PTI in an interview.
The 25 -year -old man knows about the stuff and investigation that comes with being a star kid and said that she takes everything in her strid.
“I was completely aware of what I was doing myself and what I wanted to do as a profession. There are prior beliefs, criticism, a feeling of pressure but I take it positively.
He said, “I see it as a response. There are some things that you can keep aside when it is dressed, or look, or how my body is; they are the things I can filter,” he said.
What she is watching is the audience’s reaction to her performance in the film.
“I believe on the audience to know what they have to say, what their opinion is, or what they think about me, my work, a little bit, which I have put out of there, like endorsments. I am looking for a response so that I can work on it. I can take criticism in a very creative way.” Shanaya played a blindly impaired girl in the film, directed by Santosh Singh and written by Mansi Bagla and Neeran Iyngar. “I am thankful that I got to play a complex and beautiful character like Saba and to be a part of a wonderful film with Vikrant,” she said.
As part of the role preparation, Shanaya revealed that he visited a blind school, an experience that enriched him.
“There were some things that you feel, as you give importance to yourself, you are grateful to what you do. Sometimes we wake up and we are constantly following the next thing, next project or next meeting.
“I want the next thing continuously, especially with my career and work. I don’t sit back, and I don’t realize what I have, which I am with my parents and brother. I am happy, I am healthy, I am getting an opportunity to do it, so you feel overwhelmed, so you feel,” he said.
“Ankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan” is ready for its release on July 11, Shanaya said that the expectation is like waiting for the exam results “I am waiting for him, and I am hoping, praying, and crossing my fingers that the audience has accepted me. I have not worked with my hard work, no matter what you are doing.”
