Marathi Asmita is real …: Janhvi Kapoor’s lover Shikhar Pahiya opens on Hindi-Marathi struggle

Mumbai: Shikhar Pahariya, a lover of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, has spoken on the increasing issue of language struggle between Hindi and Marathi in Maharashtra.

On Tuesday, Shikhar took on her Instagram, and gave a long note talking about the issue. He wrote, “A sense of identity, self and identity should be uplifted, should not be divided. It should be proud of us, not prejudice, no matter where we are in India or in which language we are. Marathi Asmita is real. It is deep, emotional and implied in our way of life”.

In Maharashtra, a new movement is cooking. For now, the movement is increasing in the big cities of the state after the Maharashtra government passed a decision to make Hindi compulsory third language in schools in April this year. The provision was included in the State Council of Educational Research and Training in the State School course Framework -2024.

Shikhar raised his voice in support of poor migrants in cities like Mumbai and Pune. He further mentioned, “As someone from Solpur, I understand it deeply. Language figures we are, it has shaped our states, our stories, we have given us poets, songs and revolutions. Marathi is no exception. Marathi is no exception. It should be preserved, preserved and passed just like all our languages.

He continued, “Many people from Solapur travel to Delhi, Chennai, or Kolkata to work hard to work and build a future.

“Mumbai, Maharashtra, and India belong to all those who live with dignity, work with honesty, and speak with kindness, whatever is their language. Let our Marathi Asmita be shone through involvement, do not scare. Let us do not convince it and protect Marathi, not weapon (SIC)”.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has already returned its decision, and the school’s education minister Dada Bhusa announced that Hindi will now be an alternative subject, which has Marathi and English priority languages.

The latest commotion comes to light of violent measures being taken by MNS workers against people in Mumbai and Pune which refuse to speak Marathi.

In fact, cousins Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray reunited even after 3 decades to push the imposition of Hindi in the state.
