As part of the centenary celebrations of the mythological filmmaker Guru Dutt, a particular retrospective of his prestigious films will be held from 8 to 10 August across the country, the Ultra Media and Entertainment announced.
The retrospective versions of some of Dutt’s most famous films will be included in the retrospective Love, across, Chaudhwin ki chand, Shri and Mrs. 55 And Buzz,
The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the National Film Collection (NFAI) have been reinstated by the National Film Heritage Mission of the Central Government.
Sushilkumar Aggarwal, MD & CEO, Ultra Media and Entertainment Private Limited, who have the rights of these films, said that she is honored for presenting the late filmmaker-actor’s timeless films for her fans and cinema lovers.
“Guru Dutt’s films are timely masterpiece, who have equally influenced the generations of filmmakers and audiences. We are honored to introduce our classics to reinstated versions to re -achieve magic on the big screen.”
Rajat Aggarwal, Chief Operating Officer of Ultra Media, said that August is a suitable time for the re -release of Guru Dutt films in theaters.
Next to the festival, he also said that he is planning to discuss a goal with industry veterans.
“We wanted to do it in a good way, and wanted a clear window in terms of what are the movies in theaters.

He also said that he is also considering the idea of ​​re -releasing films in some international regions.
“In addition, we are also planning an international release. We are targeting some countries like France, UK and Australia, with which we are currently in discussion. We sell a lot of their films for digital and satellite rights.

Aggarwal said, “We know that there is an audience abroad for his films. We have performed the screening rights of his films in the past on the festival, where his films are shown.”
NFDC Managing Director Prakash Magdam said, “Restoration of Guru Dutt’s films goes far ahead of reviving old reels. It is about the safety of a precious heritage that defines the soul of Indian cinema.”
