New Delhi: Veteran producer, director, and actor Dheeraj Kumar, who is known for famous films such as Roti Capada and Maken and others, died after a long fight for life at ICU in Mumbai on Tuesday, 15 July. As reported by IANS, the 80 -year -old actor breathed his last at 11:40 am with his son during his final moments. The formalities of the hospital are expected to take two to three hours, after which the body will be brought home.
The cremation is expected to be held on Wednesday, as the family members of Punjab are expected to arrive.
His family said in a statement issued to IANS, “It is very sad that we announce the passage of a famous actor, producer, and director, Dheeraj Kumar, who left us due to cardiac arrest. He was subject to treatment at Kokilaben Hospital with his family. And a colleague during this difficult time.
The actor-producer was earlier run and admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri area of Mumbai.
According to a previous IANS report, he was suffering from acute pneumonia and was on ventilator support in ICU.
The actor was 80 years old at the time of his death.

His family had earlier issued a statement requesting privacy, stating, “We ask for your quick recovery and please urge to honor our privacy during this challenging time.”
