Actor and “Bigg Boss 18” winner Karan Veer Mehra was seen outside the Excel Entertainment Office and is allegedly considered as the new opponent for Ranveer Singh-Starrer ‘Don 3’ after Vikrant Masi officially exited the film.
A source close to Vikas shared, “Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Karan is certainly believed. His recent changes in Silada and screen appearance have affected many people in the industry.” The action film starring Farhan Akhtar is estimated to be released in December 2026.
The film “Don” is the third installment of the franchise. The franchise is born from the 1978 Hindi-language Action Thriller film Dawn. In 2006, a remake series began, in which Don: The Chase began again. Its sequel was released in 2011, titled Don 2. The original film was written by Salim -Jawade, directed by Chandra Barot, and Amitabh Bachchan was included in the title role.
The remake series was created by Javed Akhtar and his son Farhan Akhtar, in which Shah Rukh Khan played the title role. Other actors acting in the remake series include Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani and Om Puri.
Karan is currently busy with ‘Sila’ directed by Omung Kumar’s ‘Sila’. He recently shared his first look as Zehrak from the film and saw every inch dangerous. The film also stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khatab in Pivolell Rolls. The film is being brought to life on an ambitious scale through a powerful cooperation. Presented by Zee Studios, it is a combined production of Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment in association with Innovation India.
The project has been constructed by Omung Kumar, Umesh Kray Bansal, Pragati Deshmukh, Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh and others.
Talking about the actor, Karan started his career in 2004 with the show Remix and later appeared in several shows.
He is known in television for his role in the serial Pavitra Rishti, which features Ankita Lokhande and late star Sushant Singh Rajput. He also won the stunt-based show Khatrani 14 of Khatran.
