The monsoon season can bring calm rainfall, but it also exposes a host of skin problems – especially excess oil. The level of humidity increases, causing your sebaceous glands produce more oil than normal. Result? Smooth skin, closed holes, acne breakouts and dullness.
If you are tired of that unwanted glow on your face, then there are 5 tips to manage oily skin during the monsoon 2025:-
1. Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser twice a day
Cleaning is the most important step in oily skin care, especially during monsoon. Choose a gel-based or foaming cleanser that is oil-free and non-comedogenic. Look for ingredients such as salicylic acid or tea tree oil to help regulate the sebum and prevent acne.
Avoid hard scrub – they can snatch your skin and trigger even more oil production.
2. Do not leave the moisturizer – choose wisely
Even oily skin requires hydration! The skill moisturizer may actually indicate your skin to produce more oil. Use a mild, water-based, or gel moisturizer in which hydrates are hydrated without closing the pores with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or niacinmide.
Tip: Opt to matify the moisturizer for a glow-free finish.
3. Use a toner to control the oil and tighten the pores
A good toner can perform miracles in controlling excess oil during the humid season. Use an alcohol-free toner with witch hazel, green tea, or rose water to refresh your skin and reduce the appearance of large pores.
Bonus: Keep it in the fridge for a cool effect during the sticky season!
4. Dress, don’t wipe: Take oil-control sheets
Keep the papers or oil-control tissues working to remove excess oil during the day without disturbing your makeup or without disturbing your skin. It helps to maintain a clean, non-disintegration form throughout the day.
Avoid using regular tissues or rubbing your face – it spreads oil and bacteria.
5. Highlight makeup and choose non-comedogenic product
Mixed makeup with humidity and oil is a recipe for brakeouts. Stick to light, oil free and sweat resistant products. See for labels like “non-comedogenic” and “matte finish” on the foundation, Bibi cream and sunscreen.
Don’t forget the SPF – Choose a matte sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
Humidity is unavoidable during monsoon, but not excess oil is not. With the right skincare routine and some smart product options, you can maintain a fresh, healthy glow even in the most humid days. Stay consistent, be hydrated, and gently but do not forget to clean it well!
