Union Home Ministry approves Y-region security
In a new development, the Ministry of Home Affairs has increased the safety of Y-Rani to Amit Jani. This comes amid growing stress and concerns on the influence of the film and is reportedly obtained by its creators. This security will be provided by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and will apply in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
The manufacturer expresses gratitude
Taking on social media, Jani thanked the country’s top leadership for ensuring his safety. In a tweet written in Hindi, he said:

Court holds the film’s release
Originally Slated for the release of July 11, the Delhi High Court issued a stay order on the film on 10 July, pending a decision by the Center on several petitions. These petitions demanded a permanent ban, citing the film’s ability to “promote disagreement” in the society.
Center recommends editing
According to an ANI report, a committee constituted by the Central Government on the directions of the Delhi High Court has proposed six major amendments in the film. This includes:
Revised Disclaimer: The original disclaimer is to be replaced with a new, approved version by the government.
Credit Editing: The frame expressing gratitude to some individuals should be removed.
- AI-rented execution scene: A view similar to the execution of the Saudi-style made using AI should change a view.
- Name change for character “Natan Sharma”: All references to this character should be replaced.
- Dialogue deletion: Nutan Sharma attributed to Nutan Sharma, “Mentoh Wohi Kaha is the one who is a religion Grantho Meen Lika”.
- Baloch Community Reference: Dialogues related to the Baloch community are to be abolished.
Earlier, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) made the film compulsory about 150 cuts. After these amendments, Udaipur files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder was approved for dramatic release on August 8, 2025.
Starring Vijay Raaz in the lead role, the film was originally scheduled to release on 11 July 2025. However, it faced many delays due to sensorship issues and ongoing legal challenges.
