New Delhi: Manufacturers of high anticipated war epic Seema 2 have announced a new actress, Medha Rana’s casting in a female lead role with Varun Dhawan. Medha comes from family and brings a deep connection to authenticity and patriotic story of the film.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 has been slated for release on 23 January 2026. The film carried forward The Legacy of the Iconic Border (1997), which is known for its actors’ contingent and patriotism. However, the aim of the new installment is to mix grandeur with emotional honesty, which creates a fresh cinematic experience respecting the original essence.

Meanwhile, veteran actor Sunny Deol recently gave fans a glimpse of his new look after wrapping his shooting for the film. Posting on social media, he wrote, “Life a winding road through Mountain peaks – fresh look, new direction.” In images, Deol is seen playing a clean look, which stands near a car with a sign with a sign with the film’s rugged, authentic war settings, reading “Burlachala 16,040 ft”.
