Aamir Khan YouTube Premier On ‘Sitare Zamin Paar’: This can be a gamechanger

A cinema series in every house and pocket. Aamir Khan says, the idea behind his novel Kadam to bypass OTT platforms and releases its latest film instead Sitare land cross On the YouTube channel by paying per scene.

This is what the audience has done forever when they visit the theater every time. And now he can pay ₹ 100 to look at his latest offer on the recently launched YouTube channel Aamir Khan Talkies, which will show other films under the old titles made by his father Tahir Hussain along with Aamir Khan production banner.

“This is my private cinema series. Think about it like Aamir Khan Productions has opened a new cinema series, which is in everyone’s house and in everyone’s pocket,” Aamir said. PTI In an interview about his efforts to democratic the film’s experience and reach those who cannot do multiplexes.

Actor-Filmekar said that he was given good money from streamers to release his film on his platform. But internet and UPI payments are increasing in India, even in rural pockets, and the access of YouTube may mean that the way films are distributed after their dramatic release in films, there may be massive changes.

Star said that he follows his heart and he is doing to make cinema more powerful.

“And that’s why I am doing this. I got good offers from OTT channels. But I do not want those of 100-125 crore from OTT channels. I want to earn ₹ 100 from my audience. I like it more.”

From Friday, Sitare land cross Will stream especially on 100 on YouTube in India. It will also do the same in 38 international markets including America, Canada, Britain, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Spain, with localized pricing for each market.

Asked if it is a way to install its own OTT platform, Aamir said that his vision is different from the membership model that follows streamters.

“We are following the same model when we watch movies in theaters that are pay-per-views. We once go to cinema, we buy tickets and watch the film once. I am bringing this model to digital.” This, in his view, may be a gamechanger.

“My colleagues, filmmakers, creative people, artists, directors and writers in the industry are waiting to see if this model is successful or not. If this model is successful, it will be a big step for cinema.

“We will once again gain strength, that whatever work we want to do, whatever stories we want to tell, we can openly do and we can join our audience.” It was called a mass medium at a time and he would like to become one again.

In a huge country like India, only a small percentage population has access to the cinema hall, saying that it was something that had harassed him for years.

“Even the most successful Hindi movies that we have, 3-3.5 million people can see it in theaters. So it is 2-3 percent of our population. How do the remaining 97 percent watch our films?”

“YouTube comes pre-installed on almost every device whether you have a smart TV or phone or an iPad or tablet. I saw it as a means. Today it has become the right environment. Where the UPI has come, the internet has reached penetration and we have a platform which is so big … I felt that we can reach the public right now,” he said.

The emergence of multiplexes has seen the film an expensive case but it can change now.

“The way multiplexes were built, they became very posh like a five -star hotel. When you invest so much, you have to increase the ticket price, otherwise it will not be economical for you.

“You can do tea in a tehouse, or you can keep it in a five -star hotel. But not everyone can go to a five -star hotel. As a creative person, I want to reach every Indian at a reasonable price so that they can see my content whenever they want, with their friends and family on their time.” Unlike the US and China, which have around 35,000 to 90,000 screens, India has only 8,000 to 9,000 theater, Aamir argued.
