Chennai: Pointing that he respected the feelings of the Tamil people, the explosive action entertainer of director Gautam Tinnuri, the creator of ‘Kingdom’, actor Vijay Devarakonda on Wednesday expressed regret in the lead, if people somehow were hurt by his film.
However, the producers also underlined the fact that the film was completely fictional and assured the Tamil audience that there was no scene in the film that would hurt their feelings.
Sithra Entertainments, which produced the film by the production house, released a statement on Wednesday stating, “We confirm that we respect the feelings of Tamil people, and we promise that, there are no scenes in the film that meet (SIC) to hurt the people of the local state (SIC).”
The production house also said that the story of the film was completely imaginary and an imaginary and was “mentioned in the dishonor part of the film.”

The explanation of the production house comes in view of protests in Tamil Nadu. The film, released worldwide on 31 July, has created a controversy for allegedly depicting Sri Lankan Tamils in negative light.
The Tamil Nationalist Group, especially the name Tamiller Kachi (NTK), has accused the filmmakers of hurting Tamil sentiments.
NTK cadres have alleged that the ‘Kingdom’ depicted Sri Lankan Tamils as a villain. The party claims that the depiction is not only insensitive, but also aimed at identifying the Tamil people and spoiling the history.
Written and directed by Gwatam Tinnuri, the Kingdom has edited music by Anirudh Ravichender and new Nuli. It has been produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Sai Sozanya respectively under the Sithara Entertainment and Fortune 4 Cinematic banner. The film is being presented by Srikara Studio. Famous costume designer Neerja Kona is in charge of costumes for the film, which has songs choreographed by Vijay Binny.
Three stunt choreographers – Yanik Ben, Chethan D’Suza, Real Satis – have worked on the film, which is full of action sequences.
