Suraj Barjatya says that he, Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra ‘Born with Golden Spoon’

The man behind some of the most prestigious family plays of Indian cinema, Soraj Barjatya recently reflected on his film production journey, shaping his story, and his work is compared to contemporaries such as Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the director opened about Karan and Aditya, despite having a different approach to cinema, tied with a common thread: his privileged upbringing.

Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra on equality

Barzatta admitted that his approach like Karan and Aditya, to a large extent, was influenced by a comfortable life. He admitted that his shared background played a major role in the stories brought on screen in the 1990s.

“We are those who were born with a golden spoon. We have experienced the Jatkon of our life.

Barzatya’s films have always bowed into idealism and moral clarity. Unlike Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra – who dubbed in complex subjects such as infidelity (Kabi Alvida Na Kehna), Hests (Dho), and Bold Modern Prem (Befikre, Rocky and Rani’s love story), lies in traditional family values.

Soraj Barjatya says that he is the most conservative among the three

Asked why he has not taken it in deep or more contemporary subjects, Barjatya blamed it for his nature and upbringing.

“Of us, I am the most conservative. It may be to do it with my upbringing. If you look at us, personally, we are all on the good side of cinema. Karan wants to make Rocky Rani; maybe it is to do it with our age, but mostly, we want to make family movies.

The continuity of barzayya continues with his latest project in making clean, value-operated storytelling champions.

Return to familiar area with manpasand ki shaadi

Marking her return to television, the wedding of the upcoming show Manchasand of Barjatya promised more domestic names: Culture, relationships and emotional echoes immersed in stories. Set for premiere on Colors TV on 11 August, the series will detect love and modern dynamics of systematic marriage through a traditional lens.
