Aamir Khan has history of Indian flag in IFFM 2025, awarded excellence at cinema award

Melbourne: The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025 became additional this year as AAMIR Khan this year, on Saturday morning, hoisted the Indian national flag at Fed Square to celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day.

In this program, the Australian Indian community gathered in large numbers to celebrate the opportunity.

The High Commissioner of Australia, India, Philip Green OAM, took into its X account to share a video from the ceremonies, stating how “India’s spirit flies high” because the community came together in Melbourne.

His post read, “From Mumbai to Melbourne, India’s spirit flies high! The Australian Indian community in Melbourne came with pride to celebrate India’s 79th #Independanday. The wonderful #Aamirkhan Federation to see the Indian actor joins the community to raise the flag in the Federation Square.”

Khan was also awarded the prestigious excellence in the cinema award, which led to his decades-time contribution to the craft and his unmatched influence on the industry.
