Neeru Bajwa accepted

Mumbai: Do you know that one of the most prominent names in the Punjab film industry, Neeru Bajwa had to lie to break into the film industry?

During a special conversation with IANS, the ‘Jat and Juliet’ actress revealed that there was a huge stereotype in the industry about people coming from Canada, so she told everyone that she was from Chandigarh.

Talking to IANS, Bajwa said: “Earlier, there was a stereotype that if you came from Canada, you would not know the local language well – ‘You are not enough Indians or Punjabi is enough’.

Bajwa was recently seen in a powerful role in “Tehran” unlike John Abraham.

Talking about his role, he revealed that he observed detective films to catch his character’s body language.

“I did not go through a structured preparation process. I saw body language, physical movements and the way he watched the films to carry such characters,” she revealed.

Bajwa shared that this observation method allowed him to naturally adapt to the sets naturally, adding authenticity to his performance.

He further said that in “Tehran”, his character came together in a way that felt organic.

The credit for the atmosphere on the set and its co-star, John Abraham’s presence, Bajwa said, “John was very kind and positive. He always ensured that everyone was comfortable on the set, and helped all of us perform better in that atmosphere.”

Revealing why she said yes to the project, she said: “What I was attracted to this story was the strength and clarity of my character. He is someone who keeps his land and chooses integrity, even when the world around him is separating. There is a proud moment for me that is morally grounded and unfolded, which is a complete perid.
