New Delhi: Actor Kangana Ranaut, known to take various and challenging roles, says she is open to bring the story of Paralympic champion Deepa Malik on the big screen.

Kangana has previously discovered the world of sports through her film Panga, where she played the role of a kabaddi player.
Speaking at the Team India Jersey launch for the upcoming World Para Athletics Championship in New Delhi, Kangana answered Zee News’s question, “I will definitely like to do a film based on the life of para athletes. As I said, Deepa Malik ji has certainly worked. His character.”

Who is Deepa Malik?
Deepa Malik made history as the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympic Games in 2016. She is also the mother of two special-worthy children, and notable, started her game career at the age of 40. Over the years, he represented India in many sports and won medals in several international programs.
Reacting to Kangana’s interest, Deepa specifically told Zee News: “My autobiography ‘Lao It on’ has been released recently, and if a Kangana does a film on her, I consider myself a privilege and will make me happy. A mother of my life, who is also a specially capable person who is starting to play.”
He said, “My film will have all the elements – action, drama, romance, as I have been a biker, swimmer, car rally, a sports person and a mother. A film in my life will be an interesting chapter in the journey of Para Sports.”
Inspire the next generation
As the brand ambassador of India’s Paralympic Committee (PCI), Kangana believes that films like these may have a permanent effect. “Our children will learn from their journey. It will help them understand the difficulties faced by others and make them a little more sensitive and respectable towards them. We will not find better inspirational stories anywhere instead of these athletes.”
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in her direction ‘Emergency’, who acted as Indira Gandhi and showed an influential artists, including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpad and late Satish Kaushik.
