Mumbai: The makers of Punjabi Social Drama, ‘Ik Kudi’ have decided to postpone the release of the upcoming drama keeping in mind the ongoing floods in Punjab, characterized by Shahnaz Gill.
The film, which was originally a film to be held in theaters on 19 September, is now pushed on 31 October.
Sharing the news on social media, the producers wrote, “The entire team of IKK Kudi has decided to release the film on 31 October 2025. Due to the unexpected and severe flood situation in many areas of Punjab, we feel that it is our responsibility to stand with our people during these challenging times.”
He said that the “IKK Kudi” team is in touch with various NGOs and is doing its best to support Punjab during these difficult times.
Starred with Amarjeet Singh Saron, “Ik Kudi”, along with others, Nirmal Rishi, Harby Sangh and Udaybir Sandhu are also included in important roles.
Shehnaz in this project is also as a manufacturer under his home banner Shahnaz Gill Production.
Earlier, the makers of Ammi Virk and Sonam Bajwa’s highly awaited sequel “Nikka Zeldar 4” delayed the release of the play due to the Punjab flood.
Makers, White Hill Studios, took to their Instagram handle and shared a post that revealed that “Nikka Zeldar 4” was postponed on 21 October.
“The entire team of Nikka Zeldar 4 has decided to postpone the film’s release on 21 October 2025 due to unexpected serious flood situation in many areas of Punjab. We believe it is our duty to stand by the people of Punjab during these difficult times,” he wrote.
He further assured that he would visit flood affected areas to increase his support.
“Therefore, Nikka Zeldar 4 team has decided to visit the affected areas very soon and provided people to trucks filled with ration and other essential commodities as soon as possible. We stand with Punjab,” the post concluded.
