New Delhi: The total lunar eclipse of 2025 is scheduled to take place today, which offers a rare and mesmerizing astronomical spectacle to Skywachrs.
A lunar eclipse occurs only during the full moon phase, when the Earth comes directly between the Sun and the Moon.
During this alignment, the Earth’s shadow falls on the lunar surface, resulting in its brightness and often given a red tint, which is popularly called ‘blood moon’.

Talking to Annie, priest Mahendra Nath said that the lunar eclipse will be 9:57 pm to 1:26 pm.
“There will be a lunar eclipse from there 9:57 pm to 1:26 pm. The lunar eclipse will touch from the bottom 9:57 pmIt will be liberated 1:26 AM. Lunar eclipse will begin 12:57 pm“Priest Mahendra Nath said.
Warning people about lunar eclipse, the priest said that no one should consume food except “elderly”, “sick” and “pregnant women”.
For the lunar eclipse effect on the horoscope, priest Mahendra Nath says that the lunar eclipse must be falling on the Aquarius. Therefore, he advises people of Aquarius to take care of people and chant the Mahamaranunjaya Mantra to reduce its effects on their health.
“At the time of lunar eclipse, no one should leave food except the elderly, sick and pregnant women. This eclipse is falling on the sign of the Kurir zodiac.
However, Mahendra Nath said the upcoming lunar eclipse is said to be beneficial for individuals with zodiac signs of Aries, Scorpio and Sagittarius.
Mahendra Nath said, “The auspicious results of this eclipse are auspicious for Aries, Scorpio and Sagittarius, but it will adversely affect the signs of the remaining amount.”
According to the Senior Planetarium Engineer at Nehru Planetarium, OP Gupta, the lunar eclipse will last for 48 minutes.
Talking to ANI, he said, “In Delhi, Penumbral Charan (Early Phase) will begin 8.58 pm …Partial eclipse will start from all around 9.57 pm. It will reach the peak from all sides 11.48 am. Its duration will be slightly more than 48 minutes. ,
This is the second lunar eclipse of 2025. The first happened in March this year.
