Robert Redford, Hollywood’s Golden Boy with a Midas Touch

With his all-American good look, Robert Redford, who died on Tuesday at the age of 89, was an eternal “Sundan Kid”, which was an American screen legend both in front of the camera and in the back of the camera.

After various television roles, his first major screen break was in romantic comedy Park barefoot (1967) Unlike Jane Fonda.

Indie guru

But Redford always played his role as one of its biggest achievements in starting the Independent Sunday Film Festival in 1985.

In 2018, Redford said that the biggest change in Hollywood in his 60 -year career was the #MeToo movement, a “tipping point” he said that women and the industry’s attitude towards sexual misconduct would change.

The four children of Redford were with their first wife, Lola Van Wagonon, one of whom died as an infant.

She married German artist and prolonged girlfriend Sibel Szggers in 2009.
