New Delhi: Popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg’s mortal remains have finally come to India. The singer, who died in Singapore, was scheduled to perform at the event.
After the post -mortem on Saturday, his mortal remains were handed over to the Indian Ambassador.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived in Delhi on Saturday to get the mortal remains of Garg and ensured the last visit in his hometown in Assam, Assam. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Foreign Minister Pabitra Margerita.

Earlier, CM Sarma said that the remains of ‘yes Ali’ singer will be placed on Sunday, September 21 at the Arjun Bhogeshwar Baruah Sports Complex in Sarusajai, Guwahati, Assam to offer their final honors for fans and best wishes.

A cabinet meeting will be held in the evening to decide at the cremation site.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that the mortal remains of Zubeen Garg will be brought back to Guwahati by a special flight. He said, “The remains will be taken to the first zubine house.
Meanwhile, the Assam government has announced a three -day state mourning in view of the death of singer Zubeen Garg. The Assam CMO said that there will be no official entertainment, formal program or public function during the period.
While expressing condolences from across the country, a large number of fans have gathered outside the Guwahati residence of Garg, waiting for the final glimpse of their beloved singer.
