“Franz Kafka is a parable and has been felt in different ways,” the Grand Dame Agnizka Holland of Polish cinema said, “Grand Dame of Polish cinema, whose most impressive and esoteric figures, is making waves on the festive biopic festivals circuit.

Echoing Kafka’s concerns about confidence and doubt, the biopic brand wants to separate Kafka from Franz, whose punishment is a colony and a prophet of a totalitarian future, which has been written about two decades before the gas cells, has become a reality, once again, it has become reliable.

Talking to Hindu at the 50th Polish Film Festival at a press conference, where Franz, Poland’s official entry for the 98th Academy Awards, is a major contenders for the top award, Ms. Holland, 74, said the world was struggling with many wars.

Considering the most meaningful and mysterious line of the film, where Kafka says impatience and apathy lost us, Ms. Holland, describing the expression as the most intelligent in the film, echoed, “The two main sins of humanity were impatient and indifference.”

“Identification is a trap we glue. There is a period when we believe that the true nature of a human being is not associated with the color of their skin, language, or religion. But then a moment comes when people are so lost in wars that they start believing in their identity and reality, and no other reality exist.

He said, “The world is being ruled by demons. Do you want me to name them?”

Ms. Holland said that she explains things in her Jewish and Polish communities, which she is not proud of. “The question is whether their identity is the main crime or if the fear of losing their identity is the main crime.”
