A 15Wan Century Naga Sapta Nadi Painting Painting with seven serpentine lines reflects seven times the divisions in the universe as a cosmic river of time and reality. Another, one serpent-pass-hest, Hindu spiritual practice is a geometric skima of two sex snakes. NagaA timeless figure in the form of protection and renewal has echoed in beliefs and cultural expressions in India. But what to do with the Italian luxury fashion house of this symbolism? Well, in 1948, BVLGARI brought the mysticism of “”Cinnamon‘For the world, through its iconic jewelery and watches-a story that he has continued to tell through cross-cultural exhibitions, events and inherited dialogues in countries.

How did a show think about a show Nagas And come about art?

interview ansr icon

My ambition did not have to separate the image Naga Or snake but think of it overall – over time and in various contexts of India, think especially. owing to the fact that Naga Throughout the time there was a parlokik aspect, a spiritual significance, and an area associated with it, I wanted to create an image of me Naga It embraces its plurality. And, of course, think about it with resonance within artistic practices.

What did an international jewelery brand mean to concept a themed exhibition on Indian art?

interview ansr icon

BVLGARI had a specific trajectory as to how this exhibition could be made in Shanghai based on their earlier shows, but I felt that it is very important that we do not think about it Naga As a unique concept and questioned whether we can create an exhibition where the jewelery is not different from art. In India, Naga Can be represented with several meanings, either as a person or collective memory or as an artistic expression. The exhibition sees the history of Naga in India through stories, narratives, spatial and texture. I wanted an international jewelery brand to be refracted through Indian art.

It is interesting that the show is associated with international jewelery with Indian art.

I felt what the serpent could be in Indian art, and also that art could not be a background for jewelery. The exhibition aims to increase the jewelery and vice versa and is an opportunity for mutuality, to tell us something about ourselves. Representing India was not an easy task and there was a lot to show. I wanted this appeal and talk to many different voices and constituencies as much as possible.

What can a visitor expect to see?

interview ansr icon

The exhibition has ancient art, historical art and works with modernism which is borrowed from museums, institutions and collectors. There are large, commissioned works such as immersive work by Anadol. Non-Indian artists are shown as they have very strong thematic relations with the art. While working with the curatorial perspective of finding the artifacts dealing with the subject of snakes, I got a lot of resonance with localized artifacts and do not want any division between indigenous, modern and contemporary art – the words that are used by the words that art historians are used to create various forms of value.

What are exciting tasks for you?

interview ansr icon

They are all my favorite because I chose him, but a search for me was Bau Devi. He is an extraordinary artist, a storyteller who creates excellent pictures and pictures that are structure and form in the form and make you feel that we are inherent in the world sometimes to make our own own and never. My hope for the visitors in this exhibition is to experience many presentations of Indian art.
