Mumbai: Bigg Boss Season 7 winner and actress Gauhar Khan has come out in support of Bigg Boss 19 contestant and actress Ashnoor Kaur, and criticized Tanya Mittal for continuously body shaming the young girl.
The actress recently expressed herself on her social media account and criticized Mittal. She said, “Initially, I thought Tanya was a very obnoxious, innocent drama queen, and it was all very entertaining. And I still think she is entertaining. But the way she is body shaming Ashnoor behind his back is absolutely disgusting. I mean, calling her an elephant in the task and saying things like, ‘She doesn’t look 21; she’s too fat; she’s gaining weight.’
Khan continued, “I remember a few weeks ago, she was wearing a dress outside, and Neelam complimented her, so Tanya made a sarcastic comment and said, ‘Yes, she looks like Barbie.’ After Ashnoor passed, she said, ‘I didn’t say she looked good; I said she looked like Barbie,’ and then they both laughed. So, I don’t understand why anyone cares about her looks. It’s not nice to be called out and gossiped about behind your back. Everyone has the right to be beautiful.”

The actress further called Tanya and said, “If you think that you are such a beauty queen then it is a good thing. But if you think that you are beautiful by looking down on others then you are not beautiful at all, because it is more important to be beautiful from inside the heart and soul than just the face.” He concluded, “No matter how beautiful or expensive a dress you wear, if your thinking is not good, you are not beautiful at all.”
Tanya Mittal, during her act, called Ashnoor an elephant and made derogatory remarks on his weight. Earlier, in a recently aired live feed, best friends Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri were seen gossiping about Ashnoor’s sudden weight gain. Tanya was seen telling Neelam that despite going to the gym every day without fail, Ashnoor is still gaining weight.
Neelam also sarcastically said that Ashnoor is only going to the gym, working out every day and not doing anything else at home, but despite this, she doesn’t know how Ashnoor’s weight increased so much. They were also seen discussing about the outfit worn by Ashnoor during the Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar episode, and both unanimously agreed that the outfit did not suit Ashnoor’s body type considering her weight.
At the end of the video, viewers were heard saying that if the dress Ashnoor wore had been worn by Tanya or Neelam, she would have looked even more beautiful.
The conversation sparked outrage among fans on social media, who have called out both Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri for crossing the line and embarrassing Ashnoor, who is just 21.
