But despite the rumors, the two looked united and happy at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles last night, posing for photos together and laughing on the carpet. Speaking with Access Hollywood, she shut down all rumors of animosity by saying, “He’s like my father! I’m attached to him for life.” The actor also reflected on the deep relationships he formed with his co-stars while growing up on set.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said, “I obviously have a special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together, and you’ll really get to see that in Season 5. It’s been very special for me to have him on the journey. Also Wynonna, the kids – I’m really honored to play Eleven and meet such amazing people along the way.”

Addressing the controversy further, stranger things Co-creator Ross Duffer stood by his brother Matt and told The Hollywood Reporter, “Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal matters on set, but I will say that we’ve been doing this with this cast for 10 years, and at this point they are family and we care about them deeply. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”

Executive producer and director Shawn Levy also rejected the allegations, calling them “wildly false”. He added, “I’ve read a lot of stories and they range from extremely inaccurate to… there’s a lot of noise around. But the truth is that we look at this crew and this cast as family, and so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been the cornerstone.”
