De De Pyaar De 2: Ajay Devgan is all set to enthrall the audience once again with the sequel of De De Pyaar De. The second installment of the romantic comedy is off to a good start as it releases in theaters this Friday.
Advance booking of the film began on Tuesday and according to trade portal Sacknilk, it sold around 5,382 tickets on the first day. As of 10 am on Wednesday, De De Pyaar De 2 has earned around Rs 19.13 lakh from organic sales and Rs 1.37 crore including block bookings.
The first film of the franchise starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Rakul Preet Singh and Javed Jaffrey grossed Rs 104.13 crore during its theatrical run. Ajay and Rakul have been brought back in the sequel, while R. Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor and Meezaan Jaffrey are introduced in important roles.

The trailer of De De Pyaar De 2 received a positive response, raising hopes of a strong collection in the first weekend.
The film, which released on November 14, had a slow start at the box office. Of the Rs 1.37 crore in advance booking, Rs 19.19 lakh came from organic ticket sales, while Rs 1.17 crore came from block booking. Maharashtra and Delhi circuits currently lead with Rs 31.51 lakh and Rs 34.12 lakh respectively.
