Kamal Haasan, Sonu Sood and Suniel Shetty condole the tragic death of Wing Commander Naman Syal in Tejas crash

Chennai: Actor-politician Kamal Haasan expressed deep grief over the tragic death of Wing Commander Naman Syal, who died in the Tejas plane crash during the Dubai Air Show 2025.


On his X handle, Haasan wrote a heartfelt note condoling the death of “the brave son of India”.


He wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Wing Commander Naman Syal, who gave his life while displaying the pride of our Indian Air Force, Tejas. A brave son of India taken too soon. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. India stands with you in this hour of immense grief.”

Since the news of the officer’s demise came to light, condolences have been pouring in from across the country.


Actor Sonu Sood also mourned the loss and said, “Today, India is mourning the demise of Wing Commander Naman Syal, a brave Tejas pilot who gave his life doing what he loved – flying for his country. His courage and sacrifice will always remain in our hearts. Salute to a true hero. Jai Hind.”

Speaking to the media at the WNC Half Marathon 2025, Suniel Shetty said, “This is a very tragic incident. Investigation is underway. I want to express my gratitude to every officer who served the country. I am very proud of them.”


Singer Adnan Sami wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Wing Commander Naman Syal…May his soul rest in peace.”

Sports personalities like Yuvraj Singh, PV Sindhu, Ishant Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal expressed their deep condolences to the family of the late Wing Commander.


“The death of Wing Commander Naman Syal at the Dubai Air Show is truly unfortunate. Condolences to his family and the Indian Air Force,” Chahal wrote.

Yuvraj Singh wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Wing Commander Naman Syal in the Tejas crash during the Dubai Airshow.”

Wing Commander Naman Syal lost his life after his Tejas aircraft crashed and caught fire at the Dubai Air Show 2025 on Friday.


The mortal remains of the Indian Air Force (IAF) officer were brought back to India in a special aircraft. The Emirati Defense Forces gave him a ceremonial guard of honor in recognition of his bravery and service.
