about the movie
Avatar: Fire and Ash is James Cameron’s third film in the franchise, following Avatar (2009) and Avatar: The Way of Water (2022). Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana reprized their roles as Jake Sully and Neytiri Te Tsakaha Moatite, respectively. The world premiere of Avatar 3 took place on 1 December at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, US.
An excerpt from Hindustan Times review of the film reads, “It has breathtaking visuals, some of which are unlike anything seen in cinema. A vast canvas on which Cameron lets loose his creativity. But that’s just it. It’s all hollow, not complemented by any emotional depth. The characters are 2D, lacking in dialogue and the beats feel so repetitive that you can already predict the plot of Avatar 4 and 5.” It’s the Hollywood blockbuster, the assembly line version, with as much emotional range as a ChatGPT reaction.”
