Chennai: The makers of director Geethu Mohandas’s eagerly awaited action entertainer ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups’ on Wednesday released the stunning first look of actress Nayanthara from the film and revealed that she plays a character named Ganga in it.
This film will be released in theaters on 19 March 2026.

Nayanthara’s portrayal of Ganga is captivating to watch, radiating a fearlessness that matches the sheer scale of the film. Speaking about casting Nayanthara as Ganga, director Geetu Mohandas said, “We all know Nayan as a celebrated star with an impressive screen presence and a remarkable career spanning two decades, but in ‘Toxic’, audiences will see a talent that was quietly waiting to explode. I wanted to portray Nayan in a way that she has never been shown before. But as the shooting progressed, I started to see that she had her own personality. How closely it reflected the soul of the character was the alignment. The depth, honesty and emotional clarity she brought to the performance were qualities she already had, I found her acting brilliantly, and even more unexpectedly, I found her a dear friend.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and several other languages ​​- underscoring its global ambition.
