Hyderabad: The makers of director Maruthi’s eagerly awaited horror thriller ‘The Raja Saab’, starring actor Prabhas in the lead role, on Wednesday released the first look poster of actress Riddhi Kumar in the film and revealed that she is playing a character named Anita in the recreation.
People Media Factory, the production house producing the film, wrote on its social media timeline, “Meet Anita from the world of #TheRajaSaab. A presence you naturally gravitate towards.”

The film has created huge interest among fans and film lovers and a hair-raising but actually well-cut trailer of the film, which the makers released earlier, has further added to the excitement.
The trailer released earlier opens with actor Prabhas being hypnotized by a trained expert to learn about his past. As Prabhas goes back to his past, he senses the presence of a strange creature in the darkness and his sleep is disturbed. This film doesn’t just present a soul-stirring horror story. There is also a fair amount of humour, as shown in the trailer.
A scene in the trailer shows a spirit getting ready to confront Prabhas, who welcomes the spirit, calling him his grandfather and offering to introduce him to people around him. An upset VTV Ganesh wonders why they want to be introduced to the spirit to which Prabhas says, “Then, what are you waiting for? Run!”
Along with horror, romance, action and comedy are all seen in sufficient quantity in the film. The trailer gives the impression that the audience is going to enjoy a lot of action. Sanjay Dutt’s character is introduced further. A voice said, “He is not some street magician who knows some spells. He is an exorcist, a hypnotist and a psychiatrist. He is playing with our minds.”

Finally, we get to see another Prabhas as the demon. “What’s your problem? Am I an ant that will sting you when you reach an anthill? I’m a monster,” he says while sitting upside down on a throne hanging from the ceiling, while also stylishly smoking a cigar.
There are a lot of expectations from the film as Prabhas will be seen stepping into unknown territory with this project. For those unaware, The Raja Saab will be Prabhas’s first full-fledged horror entertainer.
The film, which has cinematography by Karthik Palani and music by Thaman S, is scheduled to hit the screens on January 9, 2026.
The cast of ‘The Raja Saab’ includes the brilliant trio of Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agarwal and Riddhi Kumar who are expected to add charm, elegance and freshness to the terrifying yet colorful world of ‘The Raja Saab’.
