Earlier, a tweet by Abhishek had gone viral on Twitter which read: The scene where people were crying at the censored screening of #Border2, when Sunny Deol’s character performed the last rites of his martyred son in the film. According to trade tracking site Saknilak, advance booking for Border 2 began in India on Monday morning and 53526 tickets have already been sold for 7257 shows. This takes the all-India figure to Rs 1.69 crore (without blocked seats). With blocked seats, the tally is Rs 45570175 (4.56 crore). According to Pinkvilla’s report, Border 2 pre-sales are looking strong at the ticket window.

Border 2, one of the most awaited Bollywood movies, will hit the screens on January 23, 2026. The patriotic war drama pays tribute to India’s bravery and sacrifice. It promises to be a heartfelt tribute to the courage, unity and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. The sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 film Border stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty along with Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana.
