The film has reportedly completed its censor formalities, with the film receiving an A (Adults Only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to trade tracking site Sacknilk, the Vishal Bhardwaj-directed film has a theatrical run time of 2 hours and 58 minutes.
This action film is made on a budget of approximately Rs 75-80 crore.

Vishal Bhardwaj tells IANS, how Vikrant Massey committed to O’Romeo years ago, when he was still an emerging talent. Despite becoming a major star after ’12th Fail’, when contacted again, Vikrant honored the promise and decided to do the role for free. The actor told Vishal Bhardwaj that watching ‘Maqbool’ inspired him to enter the film industry and changed his life forever, making this special appearance his way of paying tribute. Vikrant shot for around 8-9 days, delivering a powerful performance that adds significant weight to the story.
Vishal further said that despite the budget constraints, Tamannaah Bhatia also agreed to be a part of ‘O’Romeo’ without taking a single penny. Although his role is brief, it plays an important role in revealing a major plot in the film. When Tamannaah was approached she immediately said yes and shot for about 12 days, much longer than initially planned, while also attending workshops and rehearsals to prepare for the layered character. His commitment and generosity left a lasting impact on the film, Vishal said.
‘O’Romeo’ marks the fourth collaboration between Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor, who have previously worked together in films like ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’ and ‘Rangoon’. Earlier, the makers had announced the title and release date of the film with a new poster.
