‘Har Har Mahadev’: Anupam Kher reacts to India’s big win against Pakistan in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup clash

Colombo: Legendary actor Anupam Kher celebrated India’s win against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup through a special post and expressed his happiness and excitement.

He shared a video on his Instagram handle in which he is seen watching India’s historic win, writing, “Har Har Mahadev Jai Bholenath #INDvsPAK.”

India now lead 8-1 with an emphatic win over their arch-rivals in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup clash.

Talking about the match, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. A masterclass innings from Ishan Kishan (77 off 40) and crucial innings from captain Suryakumar Yadav (32 off 29 balls, with three fours) and Shivam Dubey (27 off 17 balls, with three fours and a six) took India to a competitive total of 175/7 on a difficult pitch.

Ayub (3/25 in four overs) was the best bowler for Pakistan, while Shaheen Shah Afridi (1/31 in two overs), Usman Tariq (1/24 in four overs) and Agha (1/10 in two overs) were also among the wicket-takers.

During the run-chase, Pakistan got off to a nightmare start as Sahibzada Farhan fell to Hardik Pandya for a duck on four balls, while Rinku Singh got the top-edge to dismiss him for a duck on four balls.

In the next over, Jasprit Bumrah had Sam Ayub out LBW for just six runs, while he also dismissed captain Salman Ali Aga for four runs. Pakistan’s score in two overs was 13/3.


Babar Azam made a slow start to his innings while Usman Khan counter-attacked with two consecutive fours against Axar Patel in the fifth over. But the spin all-rounder dismissed Babar for five runs in seven balls to leave Pakistan at 34/4.


At the end of 10 overs, Pakistan’s score was 71/4, with Usman (43*) and Shadab (12*) unbeaten. Axar broke the 39-ball partnership as Ishan Kishan produced a brilliant stumping to dismiss Usman for 44 off 34 balls, which included six fours and a six. Pakistan’s score had fallen by five wickets for 73 runs in 10.4 overs.


Mohammad Nawaz (4) was caught by Shivam Dubey, along with this, Kuldeep got the sixth wicket and Pakistan’s score became only 78 runs in 11.4 overs.


Pakistan’s collapse got worse as Shadab (14) was dismissed by Tilak Verma while Dubey took another catch. Pakistan’s score was 78/7 in 12.1 overs.

Rinku’s safe hands gave Faheem Ashraf his first wicket of 10 runs in 14 balls, giving Varun Chakraborty his first wicket.

Pakistan was reduced to 97/8 in 15.3 overs and Abrar Ahmed was out LBW for a golden duck on the very next ball. Pakistan was one wicket away from a shameful defeat.

Hardik clean bowled Usman and won by bowling out Pakistan for 114 runs in 18 overs.

Axar Patel (2/29 in four overs) was the best bowler for India, Hardik Pandya (2 wickets for 16 runs in three overs), Jasprit Bumrah (2 wickets for 17 runs in two overs) and Varun Chakravarthy (2 wickets for 17 runs in three overs) also took wickets.
