However, what really caught the attention of Indian social media users was the song playing in the background – the energetic and widely popular ‘Na De Dil Pardesi Nu’, the title track of ‘Dhurandhar’.

The track’s unexpected inclusion has sparked excitement online, with fans celebrating what they see as global approval for one of Hindi cinema’s biggest hits.

An ex-user wrote, “That crazy song is playing in the background right now.”

Another wrote, “Nice song selection…”

A third X user commented, “India is the real leader of the world…” Another user wrote, “Goat Track. Goat Leader.”

Macron’s visit to India was marked by high-level engagements and strategic discussions. He participated in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi in the capital. Speaking about India-France relations, the French President said the bilateral relationship is at its “highest point”, with both countries keen to deepen cooperation in technology, innovation and strategic areas.

Macron underlined the strength of the partnership, saying, “I really believe that it is at the highest point, and we very much want to do that again because it is based on our relations.”

During his address at the summit, he also lauded India’s digital transformation and its leading role in technology governance as a global benchmark. The visit signaled continued momentum in the India-France strategic partnership, especially in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

Amidst these important diplomatic developments, the subtle cinematic context added a cultural layer to the story of the journey. ‘Dhurandhar’ starring Ranveer Singh in the lead and directed by Aditya Dhar is currently considered a cult blockbuster.

This film has become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time, leaving behind ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

The cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan in lead roles.

The makers are now preparing for the sequel ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which will release across theaters across India on March 19, 2026. The film will be released on the occasion of Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

The official teaser, released earlier this month, features a blood-soaked action montage that depicts the psychological and physical transformation in Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s detective Hamza Ali Mazari. It stars returning actors Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. A glimpse of Madhavan has also been shown.

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, with music by T-Series, the sequel is one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
